Welcome!

I teach political science at Kingsborough Community College, where my work is grounded in a simple commitment: students learn best in environments built on transparency, agency, and trust. Whether I’m teaching critical reading, experimenting with ungrading, or engaging questions around AI, my approach grows out of my training in political theory, where my research examines how temporality, selfhood, and power shape democratic life and the possibilities for political agency. Beyond the classroom, I serve in faculty leadership roles across Kingsborough and CUNY, working to strengthen shared governance and create more sustainable conditions for teaching and learning. My work is rooted in the community college mission and the belief that democratic education should be accessible and meaningful for everyone.

Outside the classroom, I love making things, traveling, and getting outdoors, and my family’s favorite adventures usually take us to national parks and new places to explore.
